Creating ceramics for the purpose of bringing friends and family together is a highlighted theme within my work. I find that because of our busy lives and hectic schedules, it is important to take the time to reconnect and enjoy the people around us. Using everyday objects that feel special help me to stay aligned with how precious daily rituals, like dining with others, can be. Incorporating elements of beauty and decadence into my daily routine encourages more personal and memorable moments with the people in my life.

I have always been intrigued by elaborately adorned artwork that generates the feelings of opulence, fantasy and excess; reminiscent of Rococo and Baroque art. When creating my ceramics, I strive to capture similar feelings of excitement that will provoke a rich experience to whoever utilizes my work.
